Klaus Leisinger

Dr. Klaus M. Leisinger is founder and president of the Foundation Global Values Alliance ( www.globalvaluesalliance.ch ) and Professor of Sociology at the University of Basel (sustainable development, corporate responsibilities, business ethics). He worked for nearly 40 years in leadings positions in a multinational pharmaceutical company, serves the United Nations as a senior advisor and the European Commission as an expert on ethical judgment. His credo is that people of integrity – whatever their specific culture, religion, interests and value premises may be – have normatively much more in common than what separates them. He is therefore an activist for stakeholder dialogue, fairness and principled pragmatism as essential ingredients for taming wicked problems.
